Choosing the correct thickness and direction of correx for you signs.

The "flute size" refers to the height of the ridges (flutes) in the Correx sheet. Common flute sizes also known as thickness include:

  1. Standard Flute (4mm): This is the most common flute size and is suitable for a wide range of applications, including indoor and outdoor signage, estate agent signs, event displays, and more. It provides a good balance between durability and flexibility.
  2. Large Flute (6mm): Larger flutes provide increased rigidity and can be used for larger signs or displays that need more stability. They are often used for temporary outdoor signage, such as event signs or construction site signs.

The orientation of the flutes plays a significant role in the strength and stability of the Correx sheet. There are two main flute orientations:

  1. Vertical Flutes: In this configuration, the flutes run vertically along the height of the sign. Vertical flutes provide greater strength and stability when the sign is mounted vertically, such as on an A-frame or attached to a pole.
  2. Horizontal Flutes: In this configuration, the flutes run horizontally along the width of the sign. Horizontal flutes provide more flexibility and are often used for signs that need to bend or curve, such as hanging signs or banners.
